The Tate Modern is a U.K.-based institution that houses the United Kingdom’s national collection of British art. While it is not a public institution, the U.K. Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport is the main sponsor of the Tate Modern.

A museum dedicated to contemporary art collected around the world, the Tate is run from the premises of the former Bankside Power Station. Overlooking the Thames in London, the Turbine Hall is not only a history-rich space to be in but also fills the air with unimaginable awe. Along the Turbine Hall, which stretches the entire length of the museum building, is where the works of artists like Bonnard, Pollock, Cézanne, Picasso, Matisse, Warhol, Bourgeois and Rothko, have been displayed.
