A child of an art teacher, born Pablo Ruiz Picasso in 1881 in Málaga, Spain, Pablo was a famous Spanish theater designer, ceramicist, printmaker, sculptor and painter. He spent the majority of his career life as an artist in France.
Even at an early age, Picasso was an experimental artist, so much so that he fathered various art styles, including Expressionism, Surrealism, Cubism, and Post-Expressionism.
He’s been the subject of showings at various major art galleries and museums, from the Tate Modern and the Stedelijk Museum to Centre Pompidou and the Museum of Modern Art.
