Born in 1961 in Tel Aviv-Yafo, Israel, Nadav Kander is a director, artist, and photographer based in London. Kander was raised in Johannesburg and relocated to London in the early 1980s when he became serious about his art career. He is best known for his landscapes and portraiture.

He has created several books, and his artworks are housed in collections such as The Frank-Suss Collection, Marta Herford Museum, Museum of Contemporary Photography, and National Portrait Gallery. He has also exhibited at various art galleries and museums, including the Museum of Photographic Arts, Musée de L’Elysée, and the Weserburg Museum.
