The Pirelli HangarBicocca is a contemporary art space nestled in a converted Pirelli factory building complex located in Milan’s Bicocca district.

It is one of the largest galleries for contemporary arts in Europe, featuring a little shy of 120,000 square feet of gallery floor space. It was renovated and converted back in 2012, becoming one of the most distinguished sites for contemporary artworks.

Pirelli HangarBicocca is the site of La Sequenza (1987) and The Seven Heavenly Palaces (2004), two permanent installations by the highly-acclaimed artists Fausto Melotti and Anselm Kiefer, respectively. The gallery has also temporarily exhibited works by artists like Lucio Fontana, Apichatpong Weerasethakul, Alfredo Jaar, Carsten Höller, and Marina Abramović.
