Fondation Beyeler (also referred to as The Beyeler Foundation) is an art museum located in Riehen, just east of Basel in Switzerland. It stands in an English garden with water lily ponds, old trees, and a historical villa that showcases the art collection of Hildy and Ernst Beyeler.
Designed by Renzo Piano, Fondation Beyeler offers up a harmonious combination of architecture, art, and nature, as it marries beautifully into the cultural landscape and provides stunning views of the Black Forest, grazing herds, cornfields, and rows of grapevines.
The art museum houses well over 300 pieces of contemporary, classical modern, and post-impressionism art and frequently hosts blockbuster exhibitions, making it the most visited art museum in Switzerland.
