The Museum of Contemporary Art (MOCA) Los Angeles is a renowned contemporary art museum with three locations within the greater LA area. MOCA Grand Avenue, the main branch of the museum, is located in the heart of downtown LA on Grand Avenue, just a few blocks from the famous Walt Disney Concert Hall. It displays more than 5,000 contemporary works of art by classic, upcoming, and mid-career artists from southern California and across the globe.
The Geffen Contemporary at MOCA is the biggest of the MOCA locations, sporting more than 55,000 square feet of exhibition floor space. Suitably, it exhibits large-scale sculptures, as well as electronic, multimedia, and conceptual installations. The third location is the 3,000-square foot MOCA at The Pacific Design Center in West Hollywood; it runs supplementary programs to complement its distinguished permanent collection and major exhibitions by well-known and upcoming contemporary artists.
